The widow spiderling, along  with many of the spider's in the battle pet system turn out to be very solid members of any team as it works it's way up from early levels to high, the mixture of the doubled leach life from having a webbed foe allows it to maintain its health through vastly more battles than many of the early battle pets, providing less downtime to go back to heal. Furthermore the solid combo of Brittle webbing, leech life and poison spit make spiders excellent wear down pets from level 15 up, the dual damage debufs are easily alternated by leech life
